The Hawaii Kai Holiday Parade is a much anticipated and cherished community tradition (since 1969) in East Oahu. The Parade is jointly sponsored by the Hawaii Kai Lions Club and the Koko Marina Shopping Center and has annually been held on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
This is the largest service project of the Hawaii Kai Lions Club with more than 1,200 participants and volunteers and 30 floats and vehicles decorated. Bands including the Royal Hawaiian Band, Kaiser High School Band, Mckinley High School Band, and the Celtic Band ring in the holiday season. The Kaiser High School ROTC Color Guard normally leads off the parade followed by hundreds of local preschool and elementary school students, Girls and Boys Scouts, soccer and baseball teams, pageant queens, decorated floats, cheerleaders, classic cars, horse-back riders, and many more.
